MACHINE MASTER VIEW

The machine page was redesigned to include a main tab that serves as the machine's operational hub, which makes it functional for operators using PCs and not tablets. Operators, shift managers and others can use the new master view to perform common and frequent job actions, visualize and analyze machine performance in real-time, and leverage its control panels to open service calls and tasks, as well as send messages.

RULE AUTOMATION

Automation through rules is further facilitated through:

  • New trigger based on the standard set for mold maintenance.

  • New trigger based on when the shift started.

  • Variables that can be integrated in free-text content that's part of the rule. For example inserting the Product variable will insert within the text the name of the applicable product per the triggered rule's context. This increases the accuracy of the text by pointing to the exact entity the action applies to.

  • Parameter deviation rules abide by the parameter's new system setting of whether it should impact the machine's status color in Online dashboards and the machine page, or not.

PLANNING MODULE

New Gantt

Try out the new Gantt that will eventually replace the existing Gantt. In this reconceptualized Gantt, which recommends optimal job assignments based on aggregated past performance, everything is consolidated to a single page in which you drill down, filter and use powerful search options to focus on what you want to plan and adjust. And it looks incredibly good while doing all this and more!

[Web app]

Plan vs. actual

Use this new feature when you want to see how your plan is progressing from the last time you saved your production plan to now, the current time. This effective infographic provides two layers of information, the top layer is the bulk aggregation of all planned jobs broken down to:

  • Planned jobs that were done

  • Planned jobs that were not done

  • Unplanned jobs that were done

The subsequent layer of information is this categorical breakdown for each machine. This enables the planner to see in different resolutions what happened and what didn’t happen.

QC

Order tests from the Web app using an improved interface. Test forms can now be presented in a table view that has various advantages such as seeing the succession of tests and their state, which is convenient for resuming tests in progress. Also there are visual tooltips that indicate how the entered value compares to the test field's permitted value range.

NOTE: Table view is not applicable to sample-taking tests, which have a different emphasis and layout.

All tests can now include if thus configured:

  • Test instructions, notes and tips.

  • Attached files, which can be images and PDF files.

[Web app]

PRODUCTION LINES

  • Determine for each machine in the line what it contributes to KPI calculations: Availability, Cycle Time, both, or none.

  • View production lines' shift performance in machines' aggregated and table view performance components.
    [Web app]

  • Report stop events for production lines with ease from the new Main tab in the machine's page.

PRODUCTION

Reference recipes

Automation improvements:

  • Now the most current alternative recipe is loaded automatically (and not the first one).

  • Production parameters of auto-loaded alternative recipes are visible and editable.

  • Production parameters of alternative recipes that are activated when assigned to machines will be loaded shortly after job activation.

Links in recipes

If using data sync to import product-recipe data, you can now link to other web applications and sites through the new recipe production parameter that supports hyperlinks. For example, add a link to production guidelines that are managed in your company's internal portal.

Auto-rejects count amendments

Adjust the automatic count of rejects, which is now available at the josh level as well as the job level. This can be especially useful when there's a 'second opinion' for determining whether all auto-rejected units should be scrapped, or if some of these units are actually good units.

MANAGER APP

The Manager app was upgraded, giving managers even more control of their shop-floor with the following functionality:

  • Activate jobs

  • End setup

  • Report and monitor the reporting of stop event reasons.

  • Updated theme

MISCELLANEOUS IMPROVEMENTS

  • Matics now integrates with dynamic dosing systems, which also have the added benefit of providing machine-level consumption metrics.
    [Web app]

  • Enforce approval by managers for reporting production. This is set at the level of package types (Inventory > Package Types > Require manager approval on report check box). The currently signed-in user will only be able to report production after a user with the System Operations Approver permission enters their password to approve the operation.
    [Web app]

  • Determine whether the Operator app presents the report stop event reasons screen when a stop event occurs, or not. (Machine-level setting: Display report screen when a new stop event occurs.)
    [Op App]

  • Control whether the Setup End dialog is shown when ending setup. This is useful if the operator isn't expected to report the number of good units or rejects at the end of setup. (Machine-level setting: Display setup end screen.)
    [Op App]

  • Determine the order of operations in custom KPI formulas using the added square brackets and regular brackets in the calculator.
    [Web app]

  • If you do not want a machine to be included in analytics (insights and BI), clear the machine's new Show on analytics check box.
    [Web app, Mgr. app]

  • Create maintenance reasons that when applied will not reset the countdown for the next planned maintenance and thus not skew the planned maintenance routine. (New Reset maintenance countdown setting.)
    [Web app]

  • To ensure efficient, quick loading, the Task Management Kanban now loads by default with tasks opened in the past week (defined through the TaskDaysDisplayFilter system variable), regardless of their current status, and with overdue tasks that may have been opened before that.
    [Web app]

  • Language support for Amharic.
[Web app, Mgr. app, Op app]

  • Lock the tablet app's screen orientation for all contexts.
    [Op app]
