Overview
Use this feature when you want to see how your plan is progressing from the last time you saved your production plan to now, the current time. It's an effective infographic that provides two layers of information. It enables the planner to see in different resolutions what happened and what didn’t happen.
Top layer is the bulk aggregation of all planned jobs broken down to:
Planned jobs that were done
Planned jobs that were not done
Unplanned jobs that were done
Subsequent layer of information is this categorical breakdown for each machine.
Interface orientation
To access the Plan vs. Actual page go to Planning > Plan vs. Actual.
What this snapshot of data reflects: timestamp of last refresh and timestamp of when the production plan was last updated.
Filter control. When loading the Plan vs. Actual page you're prompted to specify the departments and machines that should be included. You can change this scope at any point by clicking the filter control to open the Filters dialog and applying your changes.
Show/Hide controls:
The Production plan toggle adds to the machine-level table another row of information (cells with gray background, example indicated in the second (3) callout in screen capture above) that reflects what the plan was for Units Produced, Actual start time and Actual end time, so planners can compare between the plan and the actual carrying out of their plan.
If the Dashboard is in Show state, you'll see the main dashboard (4).
When drilling down to the machine level, you can hide the main dashboard to free up display space.
Dashboard that provides the top view of all jobs per the selected department and machine scope.
Expand/Collapse controls. To view the department's machines, expand the department section. To view the detailed table for each of the machine's planned jobs, expand the machine's section.
Machine's actual vs. planned dashboard.
Export the machine's tabular (table) data.
To export only specific rows, select the check boxes of those rows and then the export menu will include the 'selected data' options.
