This version focuses on automating processes, standardizing workflows & dashboards, and integrating custom parameters.

Tip: We've indicated which app each improvement applies to using the following notations: Web app, Mgr. app, and Op app.

Rules-based automated workflows

The Matics RtOI Rules module, which combines human expertise with operational intelligence, enables manufacturers to input event triggers that generate automatic alerts, messages and tasks. This automates the workflows and routine tasks based on these events. In this version the module was redesigned and is now based on an easy-to-follow wizard flow. [Web app]

Targets management

The Targets Management interface was redesigned to make it easier to set optimal performance targets. All levels (factory, department, machine) are set on the same page and you can lock target values that should remain constant, leaving it to the system to readjust the targets of other machines/departments to meet the overall factory target. [Web app]

Customized dashboard defaults

System admins now have more control of the dashboard view. This enables presenting users with contextually relevant information, as well as standardizing users' dashboards by creating a customized view for each team or role.

Custom parameters

Add custom parameters to the system to improve tagging, analysis, and reporting. [Web app]

Analytics

New insights

Use the new 'Setup' category for analyzing the Setup period:

  • Examine the number of setups and their duration using insight 245 - Actual setup analysis.

  • Compare the actual duration of setups to the standard set for setups using insight 246 - Actual vs. standard setup duration.

[Web app]

Makeover to insight 195: Complete shift-job details

  • The scope of insight 195 was expanded by adding these analysis parameters:

    • Inactive time

    • Job (to provide insights for the entire job, not just JoSh)

    • Mold name (local language)

    • Performance

    • Product group

    • Quality index

    • Setup downtime

    • Setup production time

    • Theoretical units

    • Weight of rejects (gram)

    • Weight of rejects (kg)

  • Additionally, the Settings options now include duration type, colors, targets and the performance legend + offer a choice of using absolute percentage or target percentage.

[Web app]

More arguments for insights

  • Product Catalog ID, Product Group, and Mold Catalog ID are now available for insights 33 Units produced - by machine/mold/product, 237 KPI analysis & 239 Production quantities analysis. Additionally, these insights offer the option of using custom parameters.

  • Weight of rejects gram & kilogram were added to insights 19 Rejects - by product, 21 Rejects - by molds, 182 Rejects - by machine, 239 Production quantities analysis.

  • Insight 33 Units produced - by machine/mold/product was restructured to include more parameters and analysis combinations.

[Web app, Mgr. app]

Consolidation of insights

The following Performance insights were superseded with Performance insight 239, Production quantities analysis, which both incorporates and expands their scope:

  • 225 Units produced by machine - by period

  • 226 Units produced by product - by period

  • 227 Units produced by worker - by period

Stop events

Top stop events

Redesigned Top stop event reasons/groups component table for a more coherent view of stop event distributions + more setting options for better control of the display. [Web app]

New option for reporting stop events in machine contexts

  • The Availability PE: Planned vs. Actual component is now embedded within the machine's tile in Online dashboards and at the top of the machine's page, in addition to its existing availability as a Shift dashboard component. [Web app]

  • Report stop event reasons directly from the Availability PE: Planned vs. Actual component. [Web app]

Splitting stop events

You can now split stop events in real-time and retroactively from the Operator app too. [Op app]

Auto-classification of stop events following the opening of a service call

New optional system setting for auto-classifying stop events. When active, the stop reason reported when opening the service call is automatically assigned to all following stop events--up to the completion of the service call. [Web app, Op app]

QC

New field type

Add lists when configuring quality tests. The 'List' type was added to the existing field types and will be available wherever the test with this field is used. [Web app, Op app]

Reorder tests easily

You can now reorder the test through a new control that's presented after running the test and saving it. This is relevant for testing conducted in short intervals on the same product for the same machine. [Web app]

Export test samples data

Test results Samples data can now be exported to Excel. [Web app]

Gantt

  • Add Calendar events to machines directly from the Gantt chart’s event view row for efficient planning through a single planning interface.

  • Recipe fields can be added to the table on the left that accompanies the Gantt chart, which can be useful for planning raw material usage and for indicating production parameters. This is configured at the machine type level.

  • Jobs in status 01 - unscheduled jobs (previously called 'Unassigned jobs') can now be displayed in a separate tab for a full-page view.

  • Gantt load settings (selected departments and machines) now apply to the unscheduled jobs data and filter it accordingly.

  • A legend of the job custom colors (configured in Gantt settings) is now presented beneath the Gantt.

[Web app]

Mold information

  • Insight 23 Actual vs. Standard rate was expanded to include grouping by mold parameters in addition to the existing product parameters [Web app, Mgr. app]

  • Add free text in the new Comments field of the Molds > General tab. [Web app]

  • See which molds are associated with a mold group. [Web app]

  • The job's History log now includes mold names too. [Web app]

Misc. improvements

Online dashboards

  • Production line presentation - each production line now starts in a new row on Online dashboards to make it easier to distinguish between them. [Web app, Mgr. app]

  • The actions menu was added to Online dashboard machine tiles in 'Cubes view'. [Web app]

Operational improvements

  • Prevent 'Change Units in Cycle' input errors through a new field for setting the upper limit of each machine [Web app, Op app]

  • Track updates to jobs with more information in the Jobs' History log, such as changes to units in cycle and changes to target units. [Web app]

  • See which auxiliaries are associated with an auxiliary type through its new 'Auxiliaries' tab. [Web app]

  • Reporting production is now easier through a redesigned interface, which facilitates reporting the number of batches and the number of label copies. [Op app]
