VERSION HIGHLIGHTS

Matics 3.3 is another significant step forward in improving workflows and shift management. The machine’s operational hub in the machine page now offers a responsive, customizable widget dashboard for displaying and tracking precisely what you’re interested in. Production lines are now presented in the mobile app in impressive granularity to indicate the line’s current KPIs, which supports effective management of lines during the shift. A new automation trigger was added for automating actions based on the running job’s production count. The New Gantt expanded its set of planning assets: it now offers the ability to set job dependencies, the option to indicate conflicting machine constraints that may arise from product updates and more. An important layer of data for analytics was added with the new option of configuring stop events as scheduled downtime, unscheduled downtime, or unscheduled idle time.

These are the highlights, below we’ve listed all the improvements this version has to offer.

MACHINE MASTER VIEW

The machine page now offers you tools for designing a widgets dashboard that will include precisely what you want to display and track. To do so, edit the dashboard by removing default widgets you're not interested in and adding widgets from the new widgets' library.

This library holds the following preconfigured widgets:

  • Job progress

  • Josh progress

  • Product image

  • Total rejects

  • Machine status

In addition to these preconfigured widgets, the library provides configurator widgets. Configurator widgets are widget templates that enable you to add multiple widget tiles, each showcasing a different parameter.

The library includes two types of configurator widgets:

  • Range: for visually representing the current position of a selected parameter relative to its set limits.

  • Simple: for straightforwardly displaying the value of a selected parameter.

EXTRA INFO

By employing a responsive design, the widget dashboard optimally adjusts to fit any size of monitor: from personal workstations and terminals with small screens to a large TV monitor. This maximizes the dashboard's visual impact and results in an ultimate tool for tracking shift progress from the machine perspective.

LINES IMPROVEMENTS

Granularity

Set for each line which machines impact the line's total efficiency and availability KPIs, and which machine determines the line's production speed.

Mobile app

The mobile app now provides the line's information in three levels of detail on the Online page:

  • Department lines: The lines included in the department, and each line's overall status per sophisticated logic that considers the line's machines' statuses, machines' efficiency value and the configured role/position of the machine in this line.

  • Line machines: The Online view has been expanded to include a breakdown of the machines within each line.

  • Line: By tapping on a specific line from the Online page, you can drill down to a dedicated page focused on that particular line. This dedicated page provides in-depth information specific to the selected line (job details as well as the line's availability & efficiency indicators for the current shift)

RULE AUTOMATION

Automation through rules is further facilitated through a new trigger based on production counter parameters, which start counting from the start of the job.

This addresses the requirement for automating actions and workflows after a certain quantity is produced. You can also automate these actions and workflows on a recurring basis if necessary. For example, trigger the running of a QC test when the count of good units reaches 1000, and enable the cyclic option to trigger this action each time the number of good units increases by 1000 throughout the job's duration.

PLANNING MODULE

Enhancements to the New Gantt:

  • Set dependencies between jobs running on different machines. For example that one job cannot begin until another job ends, or that other jobs cannot begin until a specific job starts.

  • View all the machine's scheduled jobs in a single row in a summary stripe. This is useful for detecting planning gaps.

  • Make sure to read the helpful info tips that may be provided when assigning unassigned jobs.

They indicate on which machines the entity you've chosen (product group, mold, or job) will be in use, so you can design the most efficient plan.

  • Filter loaded Gantt data by Machine Groups, a new filter that was added to the existing Departments filter.

  • Identify when there are conflicting machine constraints for a job following updates to the product's machine constraints.

  • Multi-select jobs for bulk assignment and other actions.

MISCELLANEOUS IMPROVEMENTS

Classifying stop time

Classify stop event categories with the new Planned setting. Adding this layer of information of whether the stop event reason is Planned, Unplanned, or Unscheduled can generate important insights regarding the distribution of stop time: planned downtime, unplanned downtime and unscheduled idle time (new insight #249: Time distribution - Pie chart).

Maintenance ticket attachments

Files can now be added to maintenance tickets, similar to other system objects.

Data added to insights

  • Insight 23 - Actual vs. Standard rate by mold/product and insight 237 - KPI analysis now include in their hover-over tooltips production time and downtime information.

  • Insight 182 - Rejects by machine now includes Total quantity.

  • Insight 239 - Production quantities analysis now includes a Total row.
