The Operator app (also known as the 'Op app') functions as a personal digital assistant for active operational management in real time of machines on the production floor--usually when you're physically present onsite.
It provides:
Operational functionality
Job actions (activating jobs, ending setup, adding rejects, changing the units in cycle, fixing the units produced, reporting production, ordering QC tests)
Task manager
Communication functionality (notifications, messages, task assignment)
Visual dashboards of KPIs and other indications of shift performance.
The application comprises various dashboards and pages. The functionality available to you depends on the permissions assigned to your user and how your site admin has customized the display of the app on tablets. So you won't necessarily be using or seeing everything that's documented.
In some setups there's a dedicated tablet for each machine, so each machine operator has the app to manage that machine throughout the shift, and in other setups a single tablet is used to manage multiple machines.
Download the application from the Google Play Store by searching for
'Matics Operator'.
