Inside - outside

Individual users have the option of resetting their password using the Forgot Password? link on the log in page and going through a few steps from outside of the system, but users with specific permissions can change both their passwords and other users' passwords from within the system, which can be more efficient.

Note: resetting passwords for other users requires user management permissions.

Changing your own password from within the system

  1. In the top-right corner click the profile icon.

    profile icon selected

The Profile dialog box will open.

    profile pop-up window
  2. In this dialog box:

    1. Enter the new password in the Password field. The password must use a combination of both letters and digits.

    2. Enter this new password in the Retype password field too.

    3. Click Save all changes.

Changing others' password from within the system

  1. Go to Settings > Users Management > Users.

  2. (optional) Filter the list to locate the user record quickly.

  3. Click the user's index number to open that user's record.

  4. Click the actions menu icon to open it and click Reset Password.

  5. In the Reset User Password dialog enter a new password in the New Password field and retype the password to confirm it in the following field.
Note: the password must use a combination of both letters and digits.

  6. Click Finish.
(If 'Finish' cannot be clicked it means that the password you entered in the Retype password field does not match the password entered in the New Password field and you'll need to type it again.)
