Creating custom filters

After selecting filtering criteria you may want to save your filtering choices for future use. You can do so by creating filter sets.

  1. Filter the tasks (see Filtering tasks above)

  2. Click Save as filter set either from the top-left or in the Filters panel.

  3. In the Save as filter set dialog enter a descriptive name for this custom filter and click Save.

Next time you want to use this filter, click the Saved filter sets list and choose that filter to apply its filtering to the tasks.

Modifying an existing filter set

When modifying existing filter sets you can choose to save the changes in the filter set (thus overwriting the existing version of that filter set), or you can use the filter set as the basis for a new filter set by using the Save as a new filter set option.

  1. In the Task Management page, click the Saved filter sets list and choose the filter set you want to make changes to.

  2. Make the desired changes in the filtering criteria.

  3. Click Save filter set (this control is active once changes are made):

    • Choose Save filter set to save changes to the current filter set. OR

    • Choose Save as a new filter set to save this modified filter set as a new filter set.

      1. In the Save as filter set dialog enter a descriptive name for this custom filter.

      2. Click Save.

To delete an existing filter set, click the delete icon next to it in the Saved filter sets list.

Modifying the currently applied filter set

If you just want to remove filtering criteria from the currently applied filter set, you can do so without opening the Filters panel, by clicking the 'x' of the criterion you want to remove. The task management board updates accordingly.

You can even save this modified view as a new filter set, or overwrite the existing filter set, following the steps described above.
