MATICS Line Master View (LMV)

Line Master View (LMV)

Updated over a week ago

Overview

The new Line Master View (LMV) provides a slick, modern interface designed to give operators and managers real-time visibility into line performance.

It aligns everyone on the factory floor — from operators to shift leaders — around actionable insights that drive proactive, data-based decision making.

The redesigned LMV includes powerful new features that improve usability and clarity:

  • New Navigation Panel and Alerting Widget – Stay focused on what matters most with clear visibility of your most important events.

  • Hourly Insights – Track Hourly PE (Performance Efficiency) to spot trends as they happen.

  • Progress Bar Widget – Instantly compare your target quantity vs actual progress.

  • Target Indicators – Visualize progress toward your operational goals directly on screen.

  • Over-Performance Alerts – Get notified when parameters deviate beyond expectations, helping teams react quickly and prevent issues before they escalate.

Together, these features make the LMV your go-to dashboard for driving productivity, consistency, and responsiveness across all production shifts.

Important icons and menu you should know about:

  • highlights the machine that drives the overall line efficiency and availability. When this indicator is active, it signals that one or more machines are affecting the line’s performance.

  • Service Call Icon: Displays all open service calls for the stations in your line.

  • From here you can:

    • Track call details (task name, time, machine, priority).

    • Start or manage tasks.

    • Open new ad hoc service calls for specific stations.

  • Mode view icon - by default, you will see the light view, which displays the overall PE, units produced, and line speed

Detailed view - Shows machine-level metrics, including cycle time, stop events, and rejects. Useful for bottleneck and downtime analysis.

  • Action Menu provides access to advanced features

    • Pending jobs

      • Opens a list of jobs waiting to be activated.

      • Includes job details such as product name, target quantity, and timeframe.

      • Operators can activate the next job directly.

    • View setting - Customize which machine KPIs are displayed

Change production status - update the status for a specific machine or for the entire line

  • Edit Widget - enable edit mode for widgets: גelete, replace, or reconfigure existing widgets from the Widget Library.

  • View other shifts - allows you to instantly review and compare performance across different shifts — past, current, or even custom timeframes.
This helps teams identify performance trends, analyze recurring issues, and ensure full alignment between shift handovers.

  • Switch to TV display - TV display adjustments have been automated for better visualization. Shift handovers and daily meetings have never been clearer.

Line log and TimeLine

The Line Log gives a detailed, time-based view of all line activity during the current shift.

The Line Log provides operators with a clear, time-based overview of all shift activities — helping them stay on top of ongoing work, unexpected events, and performance gaps. It is fully aligned with the Cockpit interface, ensuring a familiar and consistent user experience.

The new log categorizes every planned and unplanned event into four main tabs for easy tracking and root-cause visibility:

Tasks

The Tasks tab lists all current and upcoming production tasks for the shift. You can:

  • View each task’s start and end time, assigned point, and status (To Do, In Progress, Completed).

  • Click to complete or update task progress.

  • Monitor priority indicators (e.g., “High”) to manage urgent issues first.

Benefits:

  • Keeps operators organized and aligned with daily production schedules.

  • Prevents missed or overlapping activities by visualizing all active assignments.

Availability

The Availability tab highlights all line stops, both reported and unreported. You can:

  • Instantly see unreported stops with a countdown showing how much time is left to report them.

  • For each reported stop, view detailed data like duration, station, and reason.

  • From any reported event, call a technician directly with one click.

Benefits:

  • Promotes immediate stop reporting to keep downtime logs complete.

  • Reduces response time by connecting operators directly to maintenance.

  • Improves line availability metrics and audit readiness.

Performance

The Performance tab displays all parameter deviations and efficiency-related events detected during the shift. You can:

  • View when and where production parameters fell outside target values.

  • Identify specific machines or moments that impacted line efficiency.

  • Trigger a technician call directly from any deviation card.

Benefits:

  • Helps operators quickly correct performance drifts before they impact output.
Encourages proactive line optimization by visualizing efficiency trends in real time.

Quality

The Quality tab summarizes all rejects and quality losses detected by the system. You can:

  • Review the total number and type of rejects logged for the shift.

  • Classify each reject manually if needed (e.g., Misprint, Wrong Label, Damaged Product).

  • Call a technician directly from any reject card.

Benefits:

  • Enables accurate traceability and reject categorization.
Provides a clear picture of quality performance at both line and product level.
Supports continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives.

Widget area

The Widgets Area is one of the most powerful and flexible features in the new LMV interface.

It allows every operator or team member to personalize their dashboard based on their role, priorities, and the information they need to monitor in real time.

Personalization and Layout

Each user can design their own dashboard layout. There is no limit on the number of widgets that can be added to the view. You can:

  • Add new widgets from the Widget Library.

  • Remove widgets that are no longer needed.

  • Reorganize widgets using simple drag-and-drop actions.

Your widget area is unique to your user — changes apply only to your view, not to others on the same line.

Widget Library

When adding a widget, users can choose from a variety of visualization types. The Widget Library offers several options to meet different monitoring needs:

Widget Type

Description

Example use

Simple Widget

Displays a single, real-time KPI value.

PE%, Cycle Time, Speed

Range Widget

Shows a live parameter within a defined range (min–max).

Temperature, Pressure, Speed deviation

Progress widgets

Visualizes current progress toward a defined target.

Job progress

Trend Widget

Plots a continuous trend over time for a key metric.

Hourly PE or OEE trend

Target Comparison Widget

Compares current performance against set goals.

Actual vs. Target Production

For Simple and Range widgets, you’ll need to select the specific parameter you want to display — such as a line metric or a machine attribute

Editin Widgets

You can edit your widgets at any time using the Action Menu

located in the top-right corner of the LMV screen.

  1. Click the

  2. Select “Edit Widget”.

  3. The widget area enters edit mode — all widgets become interactive.

  4. Hover over a widget to:

    • Delete it

    • Replace it with another type

    • Change its parameters (e.g., target value, parameter source, range)

Use drag and drop to rearrange the layout and prioritize visibility.
