What Are Cookies and Why Do They Matter?
Cookies are small files stored in your browser by websites you visit. They help websites remember your preferences, login state, language, and more. In addition, your browser stores cache, temporary files such as images and page data, to speed up loading times for frequently visited sites.
Over time, this stored data can become outdated or corrupted, which may interfere with how websites load or function, especially when systems like MATICS are updated.
Why Should You Clear Cache and Cookies?
To ensure your browser loads the most up-to-date version of the system
To fix login or loading issues
To correct display problems on web pages
To resolve slow response or user identification errors
When Is It Recommended to Clear Them?
After updates to the MATICS system
If you experience login issues or incorrect display
When incorrect or outdated information appears
As part of routine maintenance, every few months is a good practice
In case the page doesn't load with all the information, or if some information is missing
How we Clean Cache and Cookies?
Step One: Try Hard Refresh First (Ctrl + Shift + R)
Before clearing your cache and cookies, it’s a good idea to start with a hard refresh. This forces the browser to reload the page completely — ignoring cached versions of files.
On Windows: Press Ctrl + Shift + R
On Mac: Press Command + Shift + R
If Step One didn’t solve the problem, go ahead and move on to Step Two.
Step Two:
Open Chrome and navigate to:
chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
Click Clear data and restart Chrome.
This should resolve the issue and restore access to the new feature.
