Line Insights Enhancements

Unleash the Power of Data for Smarter Decision-Making

MATICS is committed to empowering you with advanced analytics tools to make informed, data-driven decisions that drive operational excellence. With our latest update, we’re taking line performance analysis to the next level, providing greater clarity, flexibility, and actionable insights.

  1. Waterfall Charts (# 205): Gain clear visibility into how each stage of your production process impacts overall performance. These visualizations help you pinpoint inefficiencies and bottlenecks at a glance, providing the foundation for targeted improvements and quicker responses to potential issues. Maximize efficiency, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement.

  2. KPI Analysis (# 230, 237, 239): In today’s competitive landscape, optimizing operational performance is essential. With our enhanced KPI analysis, you can break down critical metrics and identify the key drivers of success. Whether it’s reducing cycle time or improving machine utilization, you now have the tools to drill down into the numbers and make impactful changes. Achieve better outcomes with data that speaks to you.

  3. KPI Trends (#42,45,48,51,54,57): Anticipating production demands and recognizing output trends over time is essential for maintaining an agile operation. With KPI trend tracking, you can make better-informed forecasts,, and prevent costly shortages or overproduction. Transform your production data into strategic foresight.

We added a toggle to insights that can be both calculated based on single machines or as a line entity. This means you can customize your analysis to meet your unique operational needs, whether you’re focused on overall efficiency or fine-tuning individual machine performance. Get the full picture and the details that matter to you.

MATICS BI Studio - Beta version

We are excited to share our latest resource, which is designed to help you get the most out of our Business Intelligence (BI) system. We understand that actionable insights are crucial to making informed decisions, and that’s why we’ve created a comprehensive overview document that highlights the top four reports available in our system.

OEE and PE analysis

  • The PE & OEE analysis report is MATICS main time distribution and KPI overview tool.

  • The primary purpose and the key questions in this report are the time distribution, Quantities, and KPIs’ for a given period with the ability to analyze by multiple parameters (Department/Product group, etc.)

  • The target audience is usually production teams and OPEX managers.

No-production Event Analysis

  • Time distribution frequency and duration of no production event

  • The tool enables a retrospective analysis of stop reasons, frequency and number of events per category and type. To focus and perform corrective actions to the critical time loss.

  • MTBF MTTR analysis

Use Cases

  • Using these tools the organization can automate preventive maintenance and routines forecast on the major challenges and set corrective actions

  • Inspect the setup contribution to downtime

  • Inspect the contribution of each machine to the total loss.

Quality Analysis

  • Time distribution frequency and duration and amount of quality events.

  • The tool enables a retrospective analysis of reject reasons, frequency and number of events per category and type. To focus and perform corrective actions to the critical loss per department and machine

Use Cases

  • Using these tools the organization can automate preventive maintenance and routines forecast on the major challenges and set corrective actions

  • Inspect the setup contribution to downtime

  • Inspect the contribution of each machine to the total loss

Why This Matters

Whether you’re looking to optimize your processes, monitor performance, or uncover new opportunities, these reports are designed to empower you with the information you need to succeed. Our goal is to ensure that you have the tools and knowledge necessary to leverage the full potential of our BI system.

New Rule based on Machine Production Time

Automate Your Maintenance and Boost Machine Efficiency

Ensuring that machines are maintained at optimal intervals is crucial for maximizing uptime and reducing unexpected breakdowns. Our new machine production time rule helps you automate this process by allowing you to set notifications, trigger task creation, and schedule maintenance based on actual machine runtime.

  1. Smart Maintenance Scheduling: By basing your maintenance schedule on machine usage rather than a static calendar, you can ensure that maintenance is performed exactly when needed, not too early or too late. This helps reduce wear and tear, avoids over-maintenance, and extends the lifecycle of your equipment. Reduce downtime and maintenance costs while enhancing machine reliability.

  2. Automated Task Creation: Streamline your operations by automatically generating tasks when specific production time thresholds are met. Whether it’s scheduling a check-up or replacing parts, you can eliminate the manual burden of tracking machine activity and ensure that the right tasks are triggered at the right time. Simplify your workflow and improve task efficiency.

  3. Real-Time Monitoring & Notifications: Stay ahead of potential issues by receiving real-time alerts as machines reach certain production milestones. This proactive approach allows you to address concerns before they impact production. Be proactive, not reactive.

Email Notifications

In addition to mobile notifications, we’ve added the ability to send notifications via email. When setting the rule action to “notification,” you will now see a new checkbox to enable email notifications. This option allows you to receive the rule trigger and your custom message directly in your inbox. This way, whether you’re in the office or on the go, you’ll stay informed and in control of machine activity.

Task Translation: Enhanced Operator Communication

Break Language Barriers and Enhance Shop Floor Efficiency

In a global manufacturing environment, clear communication is vital to ensuring smooth operations, especially when teams are composed of operators from diverse linguistic backgrounds. Our new task translation feature breaks down communication barriers, allowing tasks to be easily translated into the operator’s preferred language with just a click.

QC Enhancements

  1. We have added description fields to the test fields in quality control, allowing for clearer and more detailed input during the testing process.

  2. You can now cancel a test by selecting from predefined cancellation reasons, streamlining quality control workflows and documentation.

  3. QC on web applications - You now have the ability to attach various document types—such as Excel files, PDFs, and images

  4. We are taking into consideration a long event and delaying the QC trigger based on specificity time intervals

Line master view

  1. Similar to MATICS’s machine page, in the Line Master View we give you the ability to move to a different period and see the behavior of the line in that period

  2. View reported and unreported stops for each station directly on the line diagram

  3. Add notes to stop events for better documentation and tracking.
