A matter of policy
If the policy is that a certain QC test must be executed, you can enforce this through Matics.
When this setting is enabled, operators will not be able to activate a new job, or transition the job from an active state to a non-production state / other state without first running the QC test for the current job.
Configuring this for a machine type
Go to Setup > Site Configuration > 5 (Step 5 - Define Machine Types).
Click the index of the target machine type.
In the General tab's Enforce running QC test before changing jobs field, select the QC test that should be run for this machine type.
Click Save.
Configuring this for a specific machine
If after enforcing a certain QC test for the machine type you want configure a different QC test for specific machines, you'd do so at the machine level.
In the machine type's page (see steps above), click the Machines tab.
Click the index of the target machine.
In the General tab's Enforce running QC test before changing job field, select the QC test that should be run for this machine.
Click Save.
